BLS Agency Education Oversight

In NYS, it is often the choice of EMS Agencies to contract with a Certified Instructor Coordinator to oversee their agency education and CQI programs. The AETA currently facilitates 1 year and 3 year contracts to provide these services at a low and reasonable cost to many agencies throughout the North Country.

The BLS Agency Education Oversight Package includes:

Quarterly Continued Medical Education on miscellaneous topics. These classes would be open to anyone and would be instructed at your facility unless there is inclement weather or another pandemic. These courses would be moved virtually at that time.

CQI Oversight. Available for provider remediation and review if needed.

BLS Re-Certification (CME Program) CIC Review and Skills Review.

As NYS Bureau of EMS introduces new policies and education standards (protocol updates, new skills, etc.) the CIC will hold informational sessions for members as applicable.

The Adirondack Emergency Training Academy will host AHA Courses at your EMS Agency for members and the general public. American Heart Association BLS Provider Cards for EMS members would be at a reduced price per card. eCards are issued within 24 hours!

American Heart Association Courses such as HeartSaver, HeartSaver First Aid, BLS Provider, ACLS, PALS, PEARS and BLS Instructor would be available to be instructed at your facility, with low card costs being the only incurred cost.

Annual VFIS Emergency Vehicle Operations Course available if needed for no additional cost.
